
Musical Food for Thought
I came across an article today that resonated with me immediately..."natural and crafted are in". As I work on my new album, I've been thinking a lot about mixing genres in songwriting and creating organic, less produced music. I love the sound of acoustic instruments and simple, effective melodic treatments. Adding in some unexpected instrumentation is also something I wanted to include. Placing a classical cello in a standard jazz tune lends an interesting and fresh sound.
